Although there aren’t as many cars being produced these days as there have been in the past, sedans are still quite popular with certain types of drivers. There might not be as many options as there once was, but the options that remain are all of the utmost quality and are sure to suit your needs – whatever they may be. If you’re looking for somewhere to find used sedans and other cars here in Omaha, Nebraska, or the surrounding area, you can typically find a good chunk to choose from right here at Schrier Automotive.
There are actually a ton of different types of cars to choose from, broken down into body style, size, fuel type, and so on. First and foremost there are two overarching categories that do not overlap and that each and every car must belong to, which is sedan and coupe. A sedan is a four-door car while a coupe has just two doors. Coupes have seen a dramatic decrease in available options through the years, even before the rest of the class began disappearing, but they still have a special place on the market – particularly in sports and high-performance cars.
Regardless of whether the vehicle is a sedan or coupe, a car can also be a hatchback or convertible. A hatchback bridges the gap between car and SUV by offering more cargo space. Instead of having a separate trunk, the space behind the rear seats is left open and the roof is typically raised to offer more room to store whatever you need to bring along with you. A convertible, on the other hand, is a vehicle that has a retractable roof that leaves you more open to wind and the elements.
Other types of cars include luxury cars, sports cars, wagons, hybrids, plug-in hybrids and battery electrics. Furthermore, each car belongs to a size segment, which typically starts at subcompact then works up to compact, midsize and full-size.
As we mentioned, there aren’t as many cars in production as there used to be. There are, however, still plenty of viable options from a number of different automakers. We thought we’d put together a list of all the brands that are still building cars as well as the models that are still in production. We’ve decided to exclude brands that are highly unlikely to pass through our inventory – such as Rolls-Royce and Bugatti.
Since we’re a used dealership, you might also be able to find older models that aren’t in production any more that aren’t on this list. In other words, don’t take this as an exhaustive list, but it should give you a solid idea of what makes and models you might possibly see available on our used car lot. Whether you see what you’re looking for or not, don’t be afraid to reach out to us. With our Vehicle Locate Service, we’ll be able to keep our eyes peeled and reach out to you once we find it.
Remember to check our online inventory to see if any of these models are available. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us right here at Schrier Automotive.
