What kinds of used vehicles can you get for less than $20k?

One of the main reasons people shop for used vehicles over new ones is price, but even used vehicles can get pricey depending on certain factors. For example, the less used a vehicle is, the less it's marked down from its original price. So, if you're currently looking at a used 2024 model with less than 10k miles on the odometer, there's a pretty good chance it'd only be a few thousand dollars off from its original base MSRP. But the older a vehicle is or the more mileage it has on it, the more affordable it becomes. And there's nothing wrong with older vehicles, other than maybe not having some of the newer bells and whistles. A great price point to try to search under is $20k, so if that's where your budget resides you should read on as we're going to highlight what kinds of used vehicles you can get for less than that.
